Shogomoc is a small magical river in New Brunswick, Canada. The Shogomoc area has been inhabited by indigenous people for over ten thousand years and is a beautiful canvas of lakes, wetlands, streams, forest, glacier boulders and waterfalls. Shogomoc personifies sustainability and the reasons to transition to net zero.
Our Principal Consultant
Blake Hunter is a seasoned energy leader of change and customer solutions. He has over three decades of electric utility experience in strategic planning, customer service and regulatory. Blake is an analytical strategic thinker who has a natural ability at identifying, designing and implementing customer energy solutions. His passions are helping others and the environment. Blake always brings a professional and collaborative approach to his work.

Customer experience
While operating PacemakerClub.com, Blake contracted with a leading pacemaker manufacturer to evaluate their website from a patient's perspective, recommend improvements and value-added content. The evaluation considered the ease of locating patient information, usefulness and understandability of content. A number of improvements were recommended to the client's management team that were then implemented.
Product launch
Blake directed the development of a new customer energy solution called Sureconnect, a service that connects a customer's generator to their electrical panel to make backup power more convenient, flexible and safe during a power outage. Blake oversaw its development through all stages of the new product introductory process from; concept, initial market research, pilot, soft launch and growth. Regulatory
Blake successfully lead a proposal, including being the witness, to The New Brunswick Energy Utilities Board to price products and services for which customers have a choice using market conditions, not cost of service like electricity rates. After an in depth review by the Board and intervenors, NB Power was approved to create a Customer Energy Solutions Portfolio for its water heater, Sureconnect and area lighting services that unlocked millions of new revenue by using market based pricing.
